Rome - Ciro Immobile further confirmed his desire to leave Borussia Dortmund. Immobile openly admitted to wearing a costume Napoli.
Immobile left Torino and joined Dortmund in the summer of last year. He was originally expected to be a new flagship Die Borussen on the front lines after the death of Robert Lewandowski.
However, Immobile failed to shine in his first season with Dortmund. From 24 appearances in the Bundesliga, he only scored three goals. Plus goals in the DFB-Pokal and the Champions League, he packed a total of 10 goals in 34 parties.
The situation was made Immobile want to leave Dortmund. The 25-year-old striker had been linked with AC Milan. But, as someone born in the province of Naples, he did not cover his love for Napoli.
"The experience with Borussia Dortmund did not go well. But, for me it was still good," said Immobile told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.
"Have experience abroad, in a big league like Germany, are very important, as well as joining a team of champions. It was a useful experience, regardless of the number of goals or appearance," he added.
"Will I go back to Italy? I never hid the fact that I want to wear a costume Napoli. I've said it several times," said Immobile, who is under contract until 2019 with Dortmund.
"Nevertheless, there are negotiations and contracts that must be respected. There are many good players in Napoli and there will be intense competition. However, it is normal that a player of Naples as I want to wear a blue costume," he said.
